NOTARY PUBLIC

What is a Notary Public?

A Notary Public is an officer of the law. They are senior lawyers that, in addition to practising in their chosen legal field, complete the prescribed Notarial Practice Course and gain accreditation from the Legal Profession Admission Board to be admitted to the Supreme Court as a Notary.

The role of a Notary involves verifying and certifying documents to ensure their authenticity and validity in a foreign jurisdiction. Notaries are entrusted with the responsibility of confirming the identity of signatories, witnessing signatures, and attesting to the execution of various legal documents.

Notaries are often compared to "an International Justice of the Peace" due to the nature of their work, which primarily revolves around handling documentation required by clients for international purposes.
